Welcome to my world!

I created this space because there were things I could not say out loud. Not at the dinner table. Not at church. Not even to friends I have known for years.

I was born in England and raised, in many ways, by two countries. The England of my childhood feels like a memory now — softened at the edges and almost unrecognizable. And the America I have loved for more than twenty-five years feels as though it is slowly pulling at its own seams.

I love this country. I chose it. But loving something does not mean pretending not to see the cracks.

This blog is where I will share my thoughts — on current events, on faith, on history, on marriage, on love, and on the thousand small observations that make up a life. Some posts will read like essays. Others may feel more like pages torn from a diary. All of them will be honest.

I was raised in a conservative Christian home. My faith still matters deeply to me, even as I search for where I belong. I am a wife of twenty years, a mother to a daughter finding her own way in the world, and a woman who works a 9–5 while quietly wondering if life might hold something more.

If something I write resonates with you, I’m glad you’re here.
If it challenges you, sit with it.
If you simply need a place to read without judgment, you are welcome.

This is my life.
My love.
My world.

And all the things in it I am still trying to understand.
